I went to Madrid way back in October 2015 and forgot/didn’t get around to posting my photos, so here they are!
I really liked Madrid, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun weekend mini-break…
Now that’s my kind of Bodega!
An evening stroll around the city centre for some wine and tapas…
Me and D hanging out
Tapas baby!
At some famous restaurant for some eggy chips!
Early morning Madrid sunshine
At the Spanish Red Cross headquarters
Slightly sad that one of the central metro stations has been renamed “Vodafone Sol” – that’s corporate sponsorship taken a tad too far…
Today’s specials – gin and tonic!
Aubergine wall…
Can’t remember the name of this place – but it’s where I saw Guernica…
Oh wait – it was called the Museo Reina Sofia!
I found the Crystal Palace – turns out it’s just a great big old Victorian greenhouse. Very beautiful, but still….essentially just a greenhouse
Groovy and weird art installation inside the greenhouse – Some dinosaur bones and Jesus…
Some very funky trees
Mmmm – cerveza and tapas…
Mmmmm Iberico Jamon…. that’s a lot of ham…
Very cool Escher mural on a wall
Madrid Segway tours – hilarious. There were literally about 15 of them in a row, all pootling around on their segways. Like you do.
And finally – how cool is Madrid? The gin and tonic was blue!
