Erbil Citadel and Bazaar

A recent trip up to Erbil for a workshop gave me a chance to do a quick bit of sight-seeing…

Weird and strange stuffed bird found in a shop in the bazaar. Is it just me, or does it look like a Jim Henson creation?

Really unfortunate that when they restored this building, which is literally millenia old, they decided to prop it up with massive steel girders… Really hope they’re planning to remove them eventually!

And finally, heading back down to the field office from Erbil, we stopped off at Dukan lake on the way…
