Gardening

Well after my earlier post “Waiting for Spring to Sproing” when I dug everything up and was desperately waiting for everything to grow, Spring has finally arrived!

Here’s a reminder of how it all looked back in February when I cut everything back – rather bleak…

And here’s some of the gorgeous things I planted, which I have been waiting extremely impatiently to grow…

And then things started to blossom and grow…

My cherry blossoms coming out….

I finally got a forsythia too – gorgeous splash of spring yellow!

And my re-planted Japanese Maple has come back to life after moving out of the tub…

Even my bonsai had teeny-tiny flowers…

Took me a while of waiting before I realised this was a weed and had to dig it up…

My beloved Dublin Bay rose…

The reason why I can’t grow basil apparently… SOMEONE keeps squashing all of the seedlings…

My new garden gnome, sent to me by a friend!

  1. I am in love with your garden!!!!! So lush and gorgeous!! ❤

You're growing Columbines! Those are the state flower of Colorado, did you know? 🙂

    • Yeah, 3rd from bottom pic, those are Columbines. I love them, they’re “protected” here in CO you’re not allowed to pick them. The purple ones might be a different breed of Columbines, I can’t remember.

Your garden is just so lovely! I keep dreaming and wishing I could just pop over for a cup of tea in the garden with you ❤
