A pretty epic trip around the Nairobi National Park – the only city with a National Park on it’s doorstep.
Some deer/gazelles of some sort, grazing at dawn…
View of the Nairobi skyline from the park
A zebra’s arse, obviously.
Zebras and the city…
Zebras at dawn…
Water buffalo just chillin. I think maybe he wasn’t quite ready to get up yet. It was 6am after all.
Spotted my first Giraffe, hiding in the trees
There he is!
Rather blurry photo of a lioness
And a rather lovely rhino wandering about happily
And some water buffalo, um, by the water…
And some more giraffes, hanging with some zebra
These giraffes were my favourites though….
Just wandering down the road, as you do…
And this one was walking up behind the car, and kept freezing whenever I looked at him.
More water buffalo
Then I went to visit the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage – so cute with all the baby ellies!!
Getting their daily milk
And having fun with the mud bath
This one hilariously got stuck in the mud
The water buffalo is a Cape buffalo. It is one of the most dangerous animals in Africa.
Wow! I didn’t know that! Thanks Brian!
